Joining Mariella Frostrup on our studio at the Hay Festival today are Born Free actress and campaigner Virginia McKenna who launches a brand new wildlife anthology; Alexander McCall Smith drops by to discuss his latest book, The Dog Who Came in the From the Cold; and we blast into the past with rock god and Queen guitarist Brian May as he tunes into life in an 1850s village.
We’ve also got music from the of the world’s greatest cora players, Toumani Diabate, and Alex Bellos learns to cut a cake in a mathematical fashion. We assume that means we get the biggest slice….
