The depressive on the book that really makes her laugh...
The Egg and I by Betty MacDonald
“This was written in the 1940s and is just one of the funniest books I have ever read in my life. As a depressive, it just cheers me up. Nothing phases this particular woman. She goes to live on an egg farm because she follows her husband there, and she absolutely hates chickens. I read it first twenty years ago and I turn back to it when I need cheering up. I wish I had the ability to make me laugh as much as she made me laugh.”
